Care Coordinator

Deadline:

Do you care about your clients as much as you care about their pets? Do you want to help create the best possible final moments for these families? If you are caring, compassionate, and ready to step back from a clinical role, we have the perfect opportunity for you.

About Final Rest

Massy

From my first call to Christine and Lauren we were treated with kindness, respect, and empathy. Ben informed us every step of the way during the procedure. If it is possible to have a ‘beautiful death’, this was it. We were all treated with dignity and respect. It was a very quiet and peaceful transition for Massy and for that we are extremely grateful.

Charlie, David, Rebekah and Christopher, June 2023,

Final Rest offers home euthanasia and cremation to cats and dogs. We try to turn the process of letting them go into a positive experience. We care about the little things, and we hope you do as well.

We are all about customer service, not clinical ability. If you love your clients and they love you, we want you to get in touch!

What’s in it for you?

Lauren

People say they don’t understand how I can do this everyday, but I love what I do. I am able to listen and give clients time, while letting them know it’s ok to cry and be upset. There is something so rewarding in helping people when they need it the most.

You will be working Tuesday 10am–6pm, Thursday and Friday 8am–6pm and Saturday 8am–1pm (31.5 hours total per week).

We are our employees. We believe in treating our team fairly and want to work in a friendly, relaxed work environment. We offer:

  • £26,208 salary (£16 per hour), reviewed annually.
  • Profit share as a quarterly bonus.
  • Flexible pension with the option of salary sacrifice.
  • Five weeks of holiday plus pro-rata bank holidays.
  • Enhanced sick pay from day one and enhanced maternity pay after two years of service.
  • A small team. You will be our fifth team member and can really make a difference.
  • Job satisfaction! The amount of gratitude we receive is humbling. Our Google reviews are a testament to this.

What does a typical day as a care coordinator look like?

The rhythm of each day is a little different, but responsibilities include:

  • Customer service in person and over the phone.
  • Administration: booking appointments, invoicing, and taking payments.
  • Taking pets into our care and, sometimes, transporting them.
  • Looking after the pets once they are in our care. This includes some manual handling.
  • Housekeeping to keep our working environment welcoming, clean, and tidy.

What are we looking for?

Above all, we want someone compassionate; someone with a desire to take action to help our clients when they are struggling.

Good written and verbal communication is essential. We provide training for the role, but veterinary nurse experience is desirable. You need to be computer-literate and hold a full UK driving licence.

This role isn’t for everyone. We work with bereavement every day on a side of the veterinary industry that many would rather not think about. If you are interested but unsure, please get in touch anyway.

If you think this job might be for you, please get in touch with Christine (christine@final-rest.co.uk) along with a résumé. If you have any questions feel free to email, or give us a call on 07726 860738. Closing date for applications is 12 September 2023.

We look forward to hearing from you!
